At Flush with Mush we strive to bring our love of sustainably sourced and healthy food to you! We have a strong passion for exploring nature and cooking nutritious food and could not be more thrilled to share that with our community. Our products are grown and foraged without the use of chemicals or pesticides with the goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle. We look forward to serving our Milwaukee family and beyond!
Our Products
Though our available inventory is always in flux, there are mushrooms that we try to keep in stock consistently. We will do our absolute best to keep this page updated with the current stock but the site may not accurately reflect current levels. Please be sure to get in touch to confirm availability.
Lion's Mane
This unique mushroom is a fan favorite! While it’s tendrils are much different than many other common mushrooms it is fairly versatile. The texture is reminiscent of crab and some say it has a “seafood” flavor; however, this mushroom can be used in a variety of dishes such as omelets, stir fry, or just seared! It is a great vegan alternative for seafood dishes. They are extremely water absorbent so it is recommended to dry them thoroughly with paper towel or dry sear them before cooking.
Blue Oyster
Blue oysters have a meatier texture. Cooked alone in oil they have more of an earthy flavor. The lovely adaptability of many oysters allows them to absorb flavor well and to be used in many different fashions. They are commonly used in soups and whatever other dishes you may want to include mushrooms!
Gray Dove Oyster
Similar to their genus family member the blue oyster mushroom also has an earthy flavor to them. Able to soak in different flavors they are wonderful to work with in an array of different cuisines and dishes. Gray and blue oysters are prime mushrooms to have in the refrigerator for any dinner or dish you may be planning.
Pink Oyster
These tropical mushrooms love to grow in hot and humid climates! Because of this these tasty oysters need to be used quickly! Some find the taste akin to meats such as beef or ham. They make a great addition to any dish you may use beef or pork in but, as many oysters are, they are able to be used in many different meals as the flavor is not overwhelming.
Chestnut
The name speaks for itself! These unique looking mushrooms have quite the nutty flavor. As delicious as they are they do irritate some people’s stomachs so it is recommended (like ANY new food) to try a small amount before eating in excess. We’ve eaten them with a range of foods varying from cheese pizza to stir fry. They are a delightful addition to anything you may want a nutty accent to.
Shiitake
A common mushroom in Asian cuisine this popular mushroom has a rich and earthy flavor. Like many other mushrooms these can be used in a wide variety of dishes including soups and stir fry. If you are looking to save money and make your own take out at home this is the mushroom for you!

Founder
Ever since I was a child I’ve loved living off the land. I’ve loved hunting and fishing. I’ve always wanted to make a living off the land with conservation being at the forefront. I’ve been fortunate to be afforded land that I can forage off of and utilize. My goal is to make use of what the land generously provides and what my urban mushroom farm produces as well. I hope to bring wild goods and products to the people.

My love of nature and exploration has been an integral part of my personality going back to my earliest memories. Being involved in a farm and foraging endeavor is an absolute dream. Learning how to find and use natural plants and grow products that promote healthy and fulfilling lifestyles has been a fulfilling adventure. I am so excited to share what we’ve learned and produced with our beloved Milwaukee community and beyond!
